Operational donations go directly to the equipment, training, fuel, and day-to-day costs that make our responses possible. Radios, ropes, rescue litters, first aid supplies, GPS units, vehicle maintenance — it all comes from public support.

Robert Allen Memorial Endowment
A legacy of service, in perpetuity.
Robert Allen joined the Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue team as a founding member and served for 46 and a half years — a number he was very proud of. A land surveyor who had traversed nearly every corner of the Sunshine Coast, he could move through the bush faster and smoother than almost anyone.
Robert served on the SAR Board for many years, including his final years as its Treasurer. He was also a coach, a library board chair, an elected official, and a devoted family man. Robert passed away in 2021.
Grants from the Robert Allen Memorial Endowment, held at the Sunshine Coast Foundation, support land search and rescue activities on the Sunshine Coast — in perpetuity.

Fuel, vehicle maintenance, helicopter costs, and the ongoing operational expenses of keeping 35 volunteers ready to deploy around the clock.
